À Propos De

Moi (About Me)

My name is Ms. Michael (most students call me "Mademoiselle"). I was born and raised in a small town in western Massachusetts. I have been living in Santa Rosa since January 2010 and love it here. I taught French for one semester at Piner High School, and then moved over to Montgomery. This is my second year at Monty and I currently am the only French teacher at Montgomery. I teach first year, second year, third year, and IB French.

I went to a small college called Clark University in Worcester MA, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and a Masters degree in Teaching. I spent my junior year of college living in Dijon, France (yes, the mustard is named for the town!). I also spent a year in Paris after I graduated from college. I taught English at the University of Versailles, was a nanny, walked past the Eiffel tower on my way to work every day and had the best year of my life!

I love . . . Paris, language, travel, the outdoors, writing, teaching, working with youth, baking, rock climbing, bike riding, and being part of Montgomery High.
